Terms of Use

Use of any part of this website, including its content and search tools, constitutes acceptance of these terms. Anyone who does not agree with them should stop using the service.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no government affiliation. Neither it nor its advertising partners provide a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Its role is limited to locating Boone County and Kentucky criminal-record resources. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site operated independently from government. It neither stores official criminal records nor retrieves records, performs official checks, or files documents for users.

The service identifies offices that keep Boone County criminal records, including Boone Sheriff, the Circuit Court Clerk, Kentucky State Police Criminal Identification and Records Branch, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is permitted only on these conditions. You will not:

  • Break any federal, state, or local law while using this site
  • Use information you find here to stalk, harass, or threaten anyone
  • Base hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions on content from this site
  • Try to break into our systems or gain access you are not supposed to have
  • Run bots, scrapers, or automated tools against our pages
  • Do anything that slows the site down or blocks other people from using it

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use information found here or through a linked tool to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate. Kentucky registry data from the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry exists for safety awareness. Misuse against a listed person may violate KRS 525.070 or 525.080 and can carry criminal penalties. Vigilante action and discriminatory blacklisting are prohibited.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and produce no credit, background, or consumer report. Our advertising partners likewise do not offer these tools for job, rental, insurance, or credit decisions. Information here or through a linked tool may not be used to:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A regulated background check must come from Kentucky State Police through the legally authorized channel or from an FCRA-compliant provider.

5. No Legal Advice

Nothing published here is legal advice. General Boone County record information cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement statute applies to one person. Seek a licensed Kentucky attorney for that advice.

6. No Warranties

The service is supplied "as is," without a guarantee that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges can be filed, dismissed, expunged, or otherwise changed after publication. Gaps are unavoidable, and no statement here should be treated as an official representation by a court, sheriff, or government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links to sheriffs, courts, agencies, legal organizations, and search providers lead to services outside our control. We are not responsible for their availability, content, prices, or data practices. Their own terms should be reviewed before use.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Boone County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, changed, or adapted without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim liability for damages arising from this service, linked services, or reliance on information they provide.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against claims, demands, and actions caused by your use or violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Kentucky law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from use of the service must be brought in a court located in Kentucky.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms may be posted at any time and take effect when they appear here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or terminated at any time and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in force. The affected provision will be adjusted only as far as necessary.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
